it’s going to be so surreal to be back in the company of my best friends from back home. there is no explaining how much i miss them and how excited i am to get to relax and be myself and feel welcomed and loved in a place i know i will always be able to go back to, and feel safe. i get so lonely here sometimes because i spend so much time working (somewhat by choice, somewhat by necessity) - but it’s been so long since i’ve walked into a room where the people were just genuinely happy to see me. and i will be even happier to see them :)
